  34.                    As you can tell, there really hasn't
  35.                    been any new material from us for 
  36.                    quite some time. Well this might be
  37.                    because as far as I can tell, I'm
  38.                    the only one left writing mods.
  39.  
  40.                    'Tis a shame but not suprising. I
  41.                    myself have left mods for quite some
  42.                    time. Only recently have I decided to
  43.                    start firing them out. =)
  44.  
  45.                    EuphoniX has split into basically 2
  46.                    entities over the years. EuphoniX the
  47.                    Mod making group and Euphonics the
  48.                    studio band if you will. Quite frankly
  49.                    I haven't a clue as to where I fit in
  50.                    with Euphonics anymore. It would be a 
  51.                    hoot to get back together with them 
  52.                    again, but for now I think I will stand
  53.                    on my own for EuphoniX and on my own
  54.                    in the studio under another name.

  56.                    They seem to be doing just great 
  57.                    without me and I'm behind them all the
  58.                    way.

  60.                    I'll have to inform them about the 
  61.                    status of some of 'old' studio material
  62.                    I still have on DAT kicking around. 
  63.                    I'm about to schedule a re-mixdown of
  64.                    a lot of it and put it through the 
  65.                    motions of making it available on CD.
  66.   
  67.                    And in the very near future, you can 
  68.                    look forward to hearing about more
  69.                    of my own projects to come. Not to
  70.                    mention more mods from EuphoniX!

  73.                    Why 'Promise'? Because I promised 
  74.                    myself I would write something to
  75.                    be released by about this time. ;)

  77.                    The mod was written on an A3000T 030
  78.                    '882 25Mhz in Multiscan Productivity
  79.                    Mode. 8 channels, 8bit mode at about
  80.                    44Khz mixing frequency. Stereo of 
  81.                    course and no smoothing. Echo is on
  82.                    at 50% cross etc etc etc. Not a great
  83.                    piece, but cool to listen to and that's
  84.                    about all that counts right? =)

  86.                    If you play the tune with OctaMEDPlayer
  87.                    (V7.0+), REMEMBER to jump into Multiscan 
  88.                    Productivity!

  91.                    play this mod if you don't have OMSS) can

  97.                    Anyways, if your processor is too slow,
  98.                    just play with the settings ( preferably 
  99.                    the mixing freq ) to make it suit your
  100.                    systems limitations. It sounds rather
  101.                    dull and dry without cross echo. =)

  103.                    Anything below an '020 will probably
  104.                    render the mod a waste of time. =(
  105.                    
  106.                    And yes, thank you to all those out 
  107.                    there for the great samples I've ripped
  108.                    off. =) I have plenty of my own but it's
  109.                    sometimes more worth my while to use the 
  110.                    ones I like from other's work. <shrug>
  111.                    It's not like I'm the only one out there
  112.                    who does this...

  120.                    Oh! And one more thing. To Sidewinder,
  121.                    about 3yrs ago, in IRC I attempted to
  122.                    dcc him a piece of my latest work.
  123.                    Transfer was slow and I went to bed.
  124.                    It wasn't til the next morning that
  125.                    I realized that somehow I lzh'd my ram
  126.                    disk, and yup, that was the file that
  127.                    I dcc'd to him. =) Sometimes there is
  128.                    a point at which you can stay up too
  129.                    late! Amazingly enough the lzh'd ram 
  130.                    disk was the exact size of the mod I
  131.                    intended to send him. Go figure...
  132.

  135.                    to beg his pardon. <smirk>

  138.                    Well, now that I no longer carry that
  139.                    burden, I feel much better. ;)
